Racelogic have just announced they will soon being launching (March 2012) a fully waterproof (IP66) version of the video vbox. Advance orders are now being taken, pricing will be competitive mid range between the Vbox Pro and Lite. All orders through Goldstar will include two multi directional motorsport camera mounts completely free of charge (Worth £180 plus vat).

In stunning blue anodised aluminium the new waterproof vbox has two camera inputs and uses the same real time video recorder and graphics engine as the Vbox Pro and Vbox Lite.

The waterproof Vbox uses Waterproof Hirose connectors throughout plus a sealed door for the SD card. The aluminium housing includes pre drilled holes for easy mounting in a race car situation.

UK based Racelogic design and manufacture cutting edge electronic systems for the automotive and aerospace industry this includes their Video Vbox products- the V box Pro and V box Lite.

Both the Pro and the Lite combine a powerful and accurate 10Hz GPS data logger (optional 20Hz GPS with Pro) with a high quality solid state video recorder and a real time graphics engine.

As a result you can capture video from 1 to 4 camera inputs (2 cameras Vbox Lite and 4 cameras Vbox Pro) and overlay real time data such as speed, best/current /split lap times, Lat and Long G Force’s, track map with track position. Then using the of state of the art 32 bit graphics processor you can display this data in the form of graphical and numerical overlay using dials, gauges, and text.

A selection of standard dashboard design overlays are included, as are the majority of track map files, so you can be up and running straight out the box. However, if you want you can create a bespoke layout with branded dials and gauges plus corporate logos you can do this too.

In addition to the standard GPS data you can also log, analysis and overlay addition data from a built in CAN interface and for vehicles without CAN bus you can connect an optional micro input module (MIM) and log RPM and up to 4 analogue voltage inputs.

Both the video and data files are recorded onto a standard SDHC memory card for ease of use. DVD quality MPEG4 video can be played back using a standard PC media player or burnt direct to DVD, the separate data file can be analyzed on your laptop using the intuitive Racelogic circuit tools software.

The Circuit Tools software package is designed to vastly simplify the process of extracting more performance from yourself and your car.
